What will our Earth be like 100 years from now?

When you read magazine articles about the future, you can find dozens of predictions about how our planet and humans will be in the next 100 years. For sure, our lifestyles will change dramatically, but what will the change bring with itself.

In the past, people had positive predictions about our future, but today, due to problems that we face, such as pollution, overpopulation and shortage of food, the future of the world looks grim, so a lot of people make negative predictions about the future.

Most scientists predict that by the end of this century, nearly half of the world’s species will have become extinct. This means disaster for those care about the environment because our ecosystem is a connected web of living things and their relationships.

Scientists are also worried about wars that might happen due to lack of drinkable water. Even though 70% of the surface of the Earth is covered with water, only 2% of that water is drinkable. Population growth poses a serious threat to this vital resource.

On the other hand, some scientists are optimistic that humans will be able to develop technologies to reduce the effects of their activity and consumption of resources. They think that mankind has always found answers to serious problems in the past and will find answers to new problems in the future.
