WHERE IS MY CAR?

WHERE IS MY CAR?

Alan: I parked my car here in the morning. It isn’t here anymore.

Policeman: What time did you park it?

Alan: At 10 o’clock. Then I did my shopping.

Policeman: Where did you go?

Alan: I went to the supermarket and I bought some food. Then, I went to a clothes shop because I wanted a pair of trousers. I tried on about five pairs of trousers, but I didn’t like any of them. Then, I went to a bookshop and I bought two books.

Policeman: What did you do after that?

Alan: I went to the café and I had lunch.

Policeman: Did you meet a friend for lunch?

Alan: No, I didn’t. I read one of my new books.

Policeman: What did you do when you finished?

Alan: I went to the bank and I got some money. Then I walked here. There was a woman in the street and she was looking at the cars. I walked to my parking space, but my car wasn’t there.

Policeman: Where is the woman now?

Alan: I don’t know.

Policeman: Do you always park your car on Exeter Street?

Alan: Exeter Street? No, I don’t. I used to park my car on Exeter Street, but today I parked it on Devon Road.

Policeman: This is Exeter Street. Your car is probably still on Devon Road.

Alan: Oh, yes. You’re probably right. Sorry.
