Where We Live

Jane: Hi, I now live in York, England. It is a city with a lot of history and there are many old buildings. I love the castle and the scarey old dungeons. At night, there are often tours around the cobbled streets and they tell dramatised ghost stories. The public roads are busy , so I often travel to college on the regular buses.
John: Hello, I moved to Amsterdam, Holland last year and I love it. I think that this is one of the most student friendly cities in Europe. It is litter free, more energetic than home and there is a great cafe culture too. It is very flat , so there are many skateboarders and rollerbladers. Despite the distance, I often travel to college on my bike.
Margaret: Welcome to Berlin here in Germany. I believe that a lot of foreign students study here. In spite of being a modern city, there are still many public gardens in the city. In the middle of the office buildings and streets of housing there are green picnic areas, friendly local shops and markets. I like the tram best of all.
