Who Killed John F. Kennedy?
The assassination of John F. Kennedy is the biggest mystery in American history. On the 22nd of November, 1963, the president John F. Kennedy visited Dallas, Texas, with his wife Jacqueline Kennedy. When he decided to go there, some White House officials were worried about the visit and stated that it might be a dangerous visit. However, Kennedy didn’t listen to them and told Jackie that if somebody wanted to shoot him, nobody could prevent it.
While Kennedy was travelling in a convertible in Dallas, three gun shots were heard. The shots came from a Book Depository building. The president was shot in the head. He was directly taken to the hospital, but it was too late because the president had already passed away.
Approximately an hour later Lee Harvey Oswald, who was a former US marine, was arrested as the suspect of the assassination. Before he was arrested, he had killed a policeman who questioned him on the street. It was reported that Oswald had been found in a movie theatre.
Who was Lee Harvey Oswald? He was born on 18 October 1939 in New Orleans. He was diagnosed with a ‘personality disorder’ when he was a teenager, but he never received any treatment. In 1956, he joined the US marines and soon became a skilled marksman. Three years later, he left the USA, went to Russia and married there. He applied for the citizenship, but couldn’t get it, so he took his wife and child and came back to the USA. He started to work at the Texas Book Depository in Dallas in 1963.
Before the police could finish the whole interrogation of Oswald, Jack Ruby, who was a nightclub owner, and said to be involved in organized crime, shot Oswald while he was under custody. Oswald was buried with his secrets. The reason and the person responsible for the death of John F. Kennedy is still a mystery.
