Who Wants to be an Astronaut?

One day, the class was reading an article about an astronaut’s life on space. The teacher asked, “Who wants to be an astronaut when they grow up?” All the students raised their hands, except Benny.

The teacher saw this, but first asked the rest of the class why they wanted to be astronauts. The answers were different. Some of the students said it was interesting or exciting. Some of them said they wanted to learn many things about space. Some of them said they wanted to wear those special clothes that astronauts wore. Some of them said they wanted to travel with a spaceship. Some of them said they read about Neil Armstrong and they wanted to be like him. After all these answers, the teacher asked Benny, “Why do you not want to be an astronaut, Benny?” Benny answered the question like this. “Mr. Middleton, I have some reasons for that. First, I am scared of speed and a spacecraft is as fast as light. Second, I love my family and I will miss them a lot if I go there. Finally, I have a cat called Fluffy and it can’t sleep without me so I never leave her alone.” All the class listened to him and the teacher said, “Thanks Benny. I see that your heart is as soft as cotton.”
