Why are the pyramids like triangles?

Egyptian pyramids are mysterious objects. They are one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. Nobody knows why the pyramids are shaped like triangles. So, archaeologists have to guess. Some people believe that the pyramid shape is like a mountain. In the past, Egyptians believed the Earth was made on an island and this island was shaped like a pyramid. Archaeologists found many important objects in the pyramids. The dead were very important to the Egyptians and they wanted to make sure the dead person moved on to the next life easily. Some people believe the pyramid shape helps the dead person move easily from this life to the next one. The sun was another important part of Egyptian beliefs. To make their sun god happy, some archaeologists believe that the pyramids sides look like the rays of the sun. There are many ideas why the pyramids look like triangles. What do you think?
