William Henry Bill Gates

William Henry Bill Gates III was born on October 28, 1955 in Seattle, Washington. He is known as one of the world’s wealthiest people and probably the most well-known businessman ever. He co-founded the software company Microsoft, which became the largest in the world. He is the most famous entrepreneur of the personal computer revolution. 

In 1975, he read about a small technology company in a magazine called Popular Electronics and he decided to present to them the computer programme he had written. This successful demonstration ended up with the creation of Microsoft. 

Gates was always interested in electronics from a very early age. He was an ambitious software developer. He believed that with the help of new technology and computers, people could lead a better life. The products that he developed are now used by millions of people.

He is not only a successful businessman but an entrepreneur, an investor and a programmer. He is also the author of two best-selling books. Apart from that, he is a philanthropist. He donated money to many charities and research programmes. Now, he is fully focused on philanthropy and the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, which aims to provide funds for global problems. The foundation contributes to the fight against AIDS, malaria and tuberculosis and many other problems, especially ones ignored by the governments of the world.
