WINTER

Winter is a bittersweet time for many people. It is bitter because of the harsh weather that people know is coming. Some parts of the world get so cold that you can get windburn on your face, or your lips can get very chapped from the cold and wind. For some people, winter signifies having to shovel driveways and having to put salt on sidewalks so that people don’t slip and fall. Even though the weather conditions in winter are not the best, many people actually enjoy winter. There are many beautiful things in winter. There are also many holidays during the winter season. In addition to the beautiful surroundings, and the fun holidays, I like to take part in plenty of winter activities. Winter is beautiful in many different ways. The main reason why people think winter is pretty is all the white snow surrounding everything. It is so pretty to look outside and see the ground and trees covered with white snow. Another reason why it is so nice to look outside during the winter season has to do with all of the decorations that people put up. Winter is the season of Christmas, and everywhere you look, there are pretty lights and decorations hanging from the outside of people’s houses.
