The Zoological Society of London is an international conservation and scientific charity based in the UK. The world’s wildlife is disappearing. ZSL is working around the world to protect the precious wildlife we have left. There are things that anyone can do in order to help ZSL. You can adopt one of the London Zoo’s many animals and your donation will help animals all over the world. There are many animals to choose from. Here are some ideas:

• How about saving lemurs? Lemurs are sun lovers and love nothing more than to spend an afternoon sunbathing.

• In with the Spiders: There are more than 40,000 species of spiders worldwide.

• Penguins: Humboldt penguins never chew with their mouth open because they don’t chew at all! Instead, these penguins swallow their fish head first.

• Tigers: They are excellent climbers.

Adopting an animal does not necessarily mean that you have to take them home with you. The animals are taken good care of by the zoo keepers, and they are happy there. You can learn the latest news about your animal from the ZSL website or visit your animal as often as you want- for free!
