Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart
One of the most well-known composers of all time is Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. He was born in Austria in 1756. He started to show his interest in music when he was very young. Leopold, his father, who was also a musician, was his first teacher. He learned to play the piano at the age of four and he wrote his first piece when he was only five. Mozart traveled to many European countries with his father and sisters during his childhood. He played piano and violin for royal families in different European countries. At the age of 8, he started to write music for flute and piano. After that, he wrote composed music for a whole orchestra. He became a famous musician, composer, and conductor. He also wrote lots of operas. His most well-known opera is Don Giovanni.
Unfortunately, Mozart couldn’t make much money even though he was known all around Europe. As he was often ill, it was hard for him to work. He was married and had two sons. One of his sons was also a musician. Mozart died at the very young age of 35 in Vienna. In such a short lifetime, he had a great career, and even now, people all around the world love his music.
