Wonderful Summer

Summer is the season between spring and autumn. Many people love summer. There are three months in summer. They are June, July and August. There is a lot sun in summer. Summer days are longer than spring days.

The weather is hot, humid and sunny in summer. Some people do not like humid weather. Summer weather is hotter than spring weather. Many people like summer weather because of summer activities. Summer activities are things like swimming, water skiing and diving. People go to beaches or pools to swim and play. Children's summer activities are things like swimming, building sandcastles and playing water games.

Some fruits and vegetables that grow in the summer are tomatoes, aubergines, beans, melons and cherries. Some animals are out in summer, such as bees, mosquitoes and ants.

Lots of people like summer because they like swimming. Children also love this season because schools are closed. There is no homework, no uniforms and they don’t have to wake up early.
