• Carnival of Venice

I am Marco and I am from Venice, Italy. There is an important day in my city. It is called the Carnival of Venice. The day changes every year, but it always happens between the end of January and the middle of February. This day makes me feel happy because everybody is in the streets and enjoying themselves. We wear masks on our face and special clothes. Then, we walk on the streets. We dance and sing, too. Wearing different things makes me feel nervous because I cannot walk easily.

• La Tomatina – Tomato Throwing

I have a friend and his name is Carlos. He is from Buñol. Buñol is a city in Spain. His city also has a festival every year. It is called ‘La Tomatina’. In this festival, people throw tomatoes at each other. Their clothes become dirty. Throwing tomatoes makes Carlos feel angry because he doesn’t like getting dirty. This festival happens on the last Wednesday of August every year.
