YOUR WORST COOKS MOMENT
Worst Cooks in America is a competition TV show. The show follows 12 to 16 contestants with very sub-standard cooking abilities through an eight-week culinary camp. One worst cook has the chance to become the best of the worst and win $25,000. However, when it comes to disasters in the kitchen, most people have had a ‘Worst Cooks' disaster-story at one point or another. All kitchen blunders serve as useful lessons as we are unlikely to make the same mistake twice.
The show is very popular because many people have a déjà vu moment while watching. They remember a mistake they’ve made in the kitchen. Here are some of the cooking horror stories fans of the show have shared on Twitter, Facebook and Google+.

@Cutegirl1983 When I first began to experiment in the kitchen, I tried to make eggplant parmesan, but I neglected to fry the eggplant before adding it to the dish.
@kmarsh828 Nothing like trying to boil noodles in the microwave without water!

Judd Campbell: Making lasagne and realising the ricotta mix is still in the fridge when you are done.
Lori Beard: Back when l was a newly-wed and had no idea how to cook, I didn’t realise that cloves of garlic were actually not the same as heads of garlic. Thus, I sadly put a whole head of garlic in my hummus. My poor darling husband ate every last mouthful of it; however, he was sweating like he was running a marathon as he did! It only took a few minutes to figure out what l had done! I have never mixed up the two ever since!
Loreen Masuga: I was making roast beef for a dinner party. It just burned in the oven, literally carbonised – it was a black, gluey mess.

Skylar Hass: One time I accidentally got some soap bubbles in cupcake mix.
Dwayne Dittmer: I grabbed the gallon of soy sauce instead of the vanilla for the French toast at work. Sylvia Perez: I put cinnamon on my steaks thinking it was the pepper.
